Steam seal for Take the Reins

Take the Reins

Take the Reins is Steam row 2 of 37 and the first minion-economy seal. Official sentence: Unlock a Minion with a Rein. 88.4% of accounts hold it, second only to Forest Raptor. Region is Unspecified because a Rein is an account item, not a biome. First Legend, Legendary Bond, Catch of a Lifetime, Runebound, Clad in Legend, Jack of All Trades, Peak of Power, and Forged to Perfection sit in the same account-progress cluster.

A Rein, not a hunt

Any enemy, including bosses, can be captured as a minion. A Rein is the unlock that lets that minion haul the loot cart and help in combat. Take the Reins does not name Kings Woods, Tazan, or Veldak. If your strip is still fighting the raptor, this seal can still fire as soon as a Rein is spent. 88.4% is an early-loop number, not a rare flex. Minions is the hub for capture; this page is only the Steam sentence.

Row 2 between the two woods kills

Official order places Take the Reins after Forest Raptor and before Bloodmoon Falls, so the board alternates a woodland kill, a Rein spend, then the werewolf. Filter kind unlock to hide slay rows. Icon ach-take-the-reins is the cart-hauler cue. No named-ground travel is attached. Legendary Bond later asks for a Legendary minion; this first Rein can be a common capture.

Spend the Rein on a captured pack animal or a boss capture; Valve does not name which. The cart will not haul until that unlock fires. 88.4% means most accounts do this before they leave the first forest. Minions covers capture, haul, and combat help. Legendary Bond later raises the rarity. A Bloodmoon werewolf kill does not replace a Rein.
